Our services included reviewing the subject land and concept master plan proposals against relevant Auckland Unitary Plan provisions, New Zealand civil aviation rules and advisory circulars, and the Australian National Airports Safeguarding Framework (NASF) guidelines (as referenced under the New Zealand Airports Association’s Airport Master Planning Good Practice Guide). This helped inform the finalisation of the development master plan in a manner which should minimise the impact on the adjacent airport operations and maximise development outcomes.
We subsequently reviewed the final master plan proposals and prepared an aviation safeguarding assessment report in support of the application for rezoning.
